Pressing the encoder knob on the menu VARIOUS (see fig.7) the following
screenshot will be displayed :

Customise it or turn off the warning beep to adapt it according to the preference of
the operator.
In fact, pressing the encoder knob in correspondence of the menu "Buzzer on", the
screenshot of pic.10 (where the beep signal was turned on) is alternated with the
screenshot of pic.11 (where the acoustic beep was turned off) .

Furthermore it allows to :
-
format the smart-card
-
format the user memory
All new smart-Cards that have never been previously used must be formatted.
You can also use the FORMAT SMART-CARD function to delete it completely. If
you do this it can be used on a different unit.
To perform the formatting :
-
turn the encoder knob until the cursor is located on the memory support to
format
-
press the encoder knob in correspondence with the memory support to
format
In order to avoid accidental deletion, you are asked to confirm the operation. Then
pressing the function taste relative to the FORMAT button, the formatting operation
is confirmed.
The operator is informed that the formatting operation is finished, and after some
minutes of waiting, it return to the screen of fig.9 (if the buzzer is turned on) or to
the screen of fig.10 (if the buzzer is turned off).
Otherwise, pressing the EXIT button, the operation of formatting is cancelled and
the operator is redirected to the screenshot of fig.9 ( if the buzzer is turn-on ) or
fig.10 (if the buzzer is turn-off ).
If the Smart-Card was not correctly inserted in its slot and you want proceed with
the its formatting, the machine alerts the operator with a WARNING message.
