INTRODUCTION TO THE TOY
a talking toy:
It allows your child to become familiar with language sounds in an easy and natural way, through the many talking activities of the toy. Playing with sounds and
first words will stimulate your child to listen and communicate, while the songs and nursery rhymes will encourage it to experiment with the rhythm of language.
a Bilingual toy:
It helps your child to discover new sounds, also in a foreign language, through the talking activities of the toy. First, your child will listen to all the sounds,
then it will learn to associate the sounds to each language and choose in which language to play. Fun and easy to use, it is ideal to help your child to develop language skills
that are so important when learning at school.
3 levels of learning difficulty:
Selecting the
Words
mode, the child listens to the names of the objects located on the car and their characteristic sound. Then, selecting
the
storIEs
mode, the child listens to the stories set at the seaside and in the mountains, and follows them in the booklet. When the story stops, the child is invited to find
the missing object on the car. Once the object has been found, the car continues with the story. Finally, when the child has familiarised itself with the WORDS and STORIES
modes, it can have fun playing in the
QuIZ
mode, and find the correct answers to the quiz questions asked by the car.
HOW TO USE THE TOY
How to Switch on the Toy and Select the Play Modes
• To activate the toy, move the switch (a), located on the side of the car, from the OFF position to the <))/<))) position, depending on the desired volume. A short melody
followed by an initial greeting confirms that the toy is switched on. Switching on the toy activates all the electronic functions of the car.
• When the toy is switched on, it is pre-set on the mother tongue mode, and it automatically selects level 1. The language can be changed by pressing the appropriate lit but-
tons (b). A short melody confirms the selection.
• After a short time of non-use, the toy says goodbye to the child and goes into the stand-by mode, until the child presses one of the activities again.
To avoid wasting battery power, it is recommended to always switch off the toy after use, moving the switch (a) to the OFF position.
HOW TO PLAY
Happy Holiday Talking Car contains 3 learning levels:
- WORDS
- STORIES
- QUIZ
the contents of which are suited to the various learning stages of the child during its growth.
The WORDS level can be selected by pressing the button on the side of the car indicated by the number 1 (c); the STORIES level, by the pressing the button indicated by the
number 2 (d), and the QUIZ level by pressing the button indicated by the number 3 (e).
The selection of the desired play mode is confirmed by the appearance of the lights located on the relevant button.
Level 1: WORDS
Pressing, turning and moving the objects on the car, the child listens to the corresponding names and sounds.
Level 2: STORIES
• The car tells the first story, which is set at the seaside:
“ Here we are at the sea-side, the birds are singing and the sun is shining. Shall we go for a swim? Yes! Let’s put on our … SWIMSUIT, let’s inflate and put on our … RUBBER
RING and jump into the water! We can even throw the … BALL. Let’s toss it in the air, up to the sky! ”
When the story stops during its narration, the child has to identify the missing object also with the help of the corresponding sound. If the child identifies the object correctly,
the story continues, otherwise, if the object is not identified or is identified incorrectly, the car will say “OH, OH” and repeat the last sentence. If again the child fails to identify
the object correctly, the story will automatically be completed.
Once the story set at the seaside finishes, the story set in the mountains will start, which functions in the same way:
“ Here we are in the mountains, it’s so cold, brrr! on our hands go our … MITTENS and on our head goes the … CAP. How lovely the snow is, let’s put on our … SKIS and go
down to the valley. Hurray! Ready, set, go! ”
