Setup - Before Use:
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section
at the beginning of this manual including all text under
subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION:
Turn the Power Switch of the tool off and unplug the tool from
its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section.
Note:
For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following
pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.
Assembly
1. Remove the Screw (1) at the end
of the Blade Guard (3).
2. Align the hole in the center of
the Eye Guard (2) with the hole
in the Blade Guard (3).
3. The hole in the Eye Guard is countersunk to
accommodate the Screw (1). Secure using
the Screw (1), being careful not to overtighten.
4. Swing the Blade Guard up and
remove the top Screw (9).
5. Slide the Blade Guard over the Riving
Knife (4), aligning the holes in the Blade Guard
with the uppermost hole in the Riving Knife.
NOTE:
Make sure that the Eye Guard is on
the top side of the guard and that the rounded
underside of the Guard rests over the blade.
6. Reinstall the top Screw (9) to secure
the Blade Guard in place.
