Draining of water separator

1. Find a safe place to park the vehicle.

2. Loosen the drain plug by turning it counterclockwise (approximately five

turns) and operate the hand pump up and down until fuel is filled up into the
water separator.

3. After draining, securely tighten the drain plug (1) by turning it clockwise and

operate the hand pump up and down (2) several times.

4. After starting the engine, check that there is no fuel leakage from the drain

plug. Also check that the water separator indicator has turned off.

If water separator requires frequent draining, have the fuel tank drained at your

CHEVROLET retailer.
