Two port connectors are provided for attachment to remote display heads, Host PC, and 

NMEA 2000/CAN BUS network. Port functions are configurable via on-board jumpers 

Port 0

 is used for attaching a remote display head or to a PC USB port.  

This port can be configured for RS232 Serial or USB Slave. The serial mode option is 

normally used for SeaGauge Display heads as it supports the maximum cable length of 150 

feet. A Host PC with built-in serial port can also be used with optional DB9 cable adapter. 

Port 0 can also be configured as a USB Slave port and connect directly to a Host PC via 

optional USB cable adapter 

Only one mode can be used at the same time. 

Port 1

 is used for attaching to a NMEA 2000/CAN BUS J1939 network. SeaGauge converts 

the analog sensor inputs to NMEA 2000 or J1939 PGNs depending on the configuration 

loaded by the vDash via the USB interface.
