OPERATION

2.  These screws are required to meet international

safety requirements and must be removed in
order to open the machine.

ADJUSTING PUMP PRESSURE

1.  The pump in the PowerBase 10 is an on-demand

pump. The advantage to having this type of pump
is that it is working (pumping) only when solution
is required.Adjusting pump pressure

2.  It is very important that the pump runs smoothly

when the valve on the cleaning tool is open and
solution is flowing. Likewise the pump must turn
off when there is no solution flow. If the pump
pulsates in either condition or does not shut off, it
will damage the demand switch located at the
front of the pump.

3.

To adjust the pump and achieve smooth
operation of the pump, remove the vacuum hose
from the base plate of the machine and insert a
5/64” Allen wrench into the pressure adjusting
screw of the pump as indicated by the arrow in
Figure 13.

If the pump pulsates on and off during
solution flow:

the pump should be adjusted to a

higher pressure setting by turning the Allen
wrench in a clockwise direction.

If the pump does not shut off when the
solution flow is stopped:

 the pump should be

adjusted to a lower pressure setting by turning
the Allen wrench in a counter-clockwise direction.

CLEANING THE INLINE FILTER

1.  There is an inline solution filter located inside the

machine (Figure 14). It prevents debris from

plugging the metering orifice that regulates the
flow rate of the solution being used. To clean it,
open the filter which looks like a quick disconnect
and remove the filter from the male side of the
quick disconnect (Figure 15).

2.  Clean the screen and inspect the metering orifice

(Figure 15) and clean as necessary. Reassemble
filter body.
