Use
■
Disconnect the part of the circuit to be checked from the energy source
■
Place the switch on the voltmeter position
■
Connect the instrument according to the diagram (red terminal to the earth to
measure insulation resistance
compared to the earth)
■
Check that the circuit is not live
(no movement of the needle)
■
Put the switch on an adequate
position
■
Turn the handle until the orange
coloured indicator on the right of
the instrument lights up
■
Read the value: if the red indicator
situated on the left of the instrument is lit multiply the reading by 10 to get the result
■
Allow the circuit to discharge (a few seconds) before disconnecting the instrument.
