Pipe work blockage, clean out.

Air not fully purged, re purge supply or wait longer.

Spark grounding to metal work, reset gap correctly.

Blocked pilot, clean out internally.

Pilot lights but then goes out

Severe restriction in gas supply: clear obstruction.

Faulty thermocouple, replace pilot unit.

Blocked pilot, clean out.

Blocked lint gauze, clean.

Hold control knob in for longer.

Check control knob does not foul data plate.

If the pilot will not stay lit there is a problem with dirt, the gas supply, or the thermocouple needs

replacement. Modifications are dangerous and can have a serious unseen effect on safety.

NEVER MODIFY OR BEND THE THERMOCOUPLE TO MAKE THE PILOT STAY ALIGHT.

NEVER MODIFY OR BEND THE THERMOCOUPLE TO MAKE THE PILOT STAY ALIGHT.

Pilot flame shrinks when fire is on high

Poor gas flow to fire, check pressure with fire on high.

If pressure is low, remove any restriction in pipework or valve.

Check all isolators are adequately sized and fully open.

Check meter pressure is adequate.
