Position the now resulting opening over the folded panels, and open the gap as wide
as the panels. This packing method guarantees a controlled opening with low shock
loads. This further reduces the opening time, especially in rotations with high sink rates,
while the opening time is often significantly longer when the canopy is folded with
conventional S-folds!
Unhook the packing loop and
push the panels together at the
apex to approximately the width
of the container.
Fold the edge of the center
panel to the right side as seen in
the direction of flight (the lower
side in the picture), and roll the
panels of the other side inward
as well.
