Play the pink noise signal again and press ENTER [C]. The previous message will
reappear.
Make sure that the level that appears on screen is higher than 80 dBA.
The LRF-04 carries out the rest of the calibrating process automatically. The process
lasts 2 minutes.
After the two minutes are up, the following message will appear indicating that the
calibrating process has been successful:
As from this moment, the continuous self-checking system is activated.
Should either of the following messages appear, the calibrating process must be
repeated:
The “insufficient line level” error is due to the fact that there is not enough signal level at
the limiter input: repeat the calibration process with a higher level. The “calibration error”
is due to variable sound conditions: repeat the process, making sure the sound signal
level is stabilised.
Should an error appear in the calibrating process or the process is aborted, the
continuous internal self-checking system will be deactivated. To reactivate it, simply
calibrate the LRF-04 again.
2.5 Programming the LRF-04
Once the LRF-04 has been installed and calibrated (optional), all that is now needed is to
programme it so that it is ready for use.
2.6 Recommendations
Checking the LRF-04: We recommend that the LRF-04 be checked at least once a year by
using the CB004 or CB006
calibrator. Check the unit by removing the lid from the
sensor box and introducing the sensor microphone into the calibrator. The calibrator will set
at 94 dB. This value should appear on screen. If the reading deviates to over
0.5 dB,
contact an official
distributor.
