If the display shows
but you are still receiving a
message from MyFireStar.com indicating “there has been no
communication” then you may have miskeyed your serial
number during setup. Verify that menu item #15 is the serial
number of your outdoor furnace.
1. To verify your serial number has been entered correctly,
use the keypad on the FireStar XP. Press and hold the
key until #1 is displayed.
2. Press the keypad
or
key until #15 is displayed.
3. Press the
key to view the serial number. It will begin
with a letter followed by six numbers.
4. If the serial number was keyed incorrectly, re-enter the
serial number. Once the correct serial number is entered,
press the
key to save.
5. Wait a few moments while your FireStar XP restarts. When
the blue LED stops flashing, you’re connected.
If the display shows
when holding the keypad
key, the FireStar XP is still in setup mode. Follow the steps
under Connect to Wi-Fi Network section, Option A using your
web-enabled device (e.g., laptop or smartphone) to connect.
If the display shows
,
,
or
when holding the keypad
key, the FireStar
XP is trying to connect. Wait at least five minutes. If it hasn’t
connected after five minutes, try one of the solutions given
under “The Connected light on the FireStar XP is flashing.”
