The Connected light on the FireStar XP is flashing.
The blue LED on the FireStar XP flashes when the module is
trying to connect to a wireless network. This can take up to
five minutes in some cases. If after about five minutes, the
blue LED is still flashing, try one of the following possible
solutions.
Try “power cycling” the FireStar XP module. Unplug the power
adapter from the FireStar XP and then plug it back in. Wait for
about five minutes. If the blue LED stops flashing and remains
on, the FireStar XP is connected to your wireless network.
If that doesn’t work, use the FireStar XP keypad to go back
into Setup mode:
1. Using the keypad on the FireStar XP, press and hold the
key until #1 is displayed.
2. Press the keypad
or
key until #9 is displayed.
3. Press the
key. Set the value to 1.
4. Press the
key.
5. Wait a few moments while your FireStar XP restarts. Once
the blue LED stops flashing and remains on, refer to either
Option A or Option B in the Connect to Wi-Fi Network
section to connect to your wi-fi network.
The FireStar XP website is not receiving any
communication from my outdoor furnace.
Check that the FireStar XP module is plugged in and turned
on. Check that there is power to the outdoor furnace and
that the serial cable is securely connected to both the FireStar
II controller on the outdoor furnace and to the FireStar XP.
Press and hold the
key on the FireStar XP keypad. The
message on the display shows the current status.
If the display shows
you’re connected to the FireStar XP
website.
