If the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the preset Low Limit Warning point
(500 PPM), the sound alarm will emit a tone, and the green LED will turn on.
If the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the preset Medium Limit Warning
point (10% LEL), the sound alarm will emit a higher tone, and the yellow LEDs
will turn on.
If the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the preset High Limit Warning, the
sound alarm will emit an emergency tone, and the red LEDs will turn on.
Warning: When the High Limit Warning alarm is displayed (all red LEDs), leave
the room immediately. Properly ventilate the area before reentering.
6.
After leaving the test area, slide the On/Off Switch to the Off position.
Maintenance
1.
Recharge batteries when the LOW BAT LED lights. Charge monthly, whether
the unit is used or not. If after recharging the batteries, the LOW BAT LED is
still displayed, replace the batteries with new ones of the same type. Refer to
the Specifications.
2.
If the unit is not functioning, repeat the Gas Detection procedures as
described on page 5.

If the unit is still not detecting properly, have a qualified technician calibrate
the unit, or have the technician replace the sensor with the extra supplied
sensor.
4.
Do not expose the unit to high concentrations of gas for long periods. This will
shorten the life of the sensor.
5.
Do not store or use the Gas Detector in an area when corrosive gases are
present.
