Analyzer is designed to provide a rapid direct determination of the moisture, or other volatile
components, of any and all products. Using a combination of microwave and infrared energy, the SMART 6 is able
to accurately analyze samples with moisture content from 0.01-99.99%, as well as samples containing polar or
non-polar solvents.
The SMART 6 consists of an integrated 4 place balance to 0.1 mg sensitivity for continuous weight monitoring
and feedback. SMART 6 utilizes a patented combination of microwave and infrared power, providing the most rapid
and complete drying available for the widest range of sample types. Each system includes an infrared sensor for
determining sample temperature, USB ports for the transference of data or methods, Ethernet ports for network
integration, and a printer option if a paper trail is required. The system is controlled via a 7” TFT-LED glass
capacitance touchscreen interface which can accommodate a hierarchy of user logins to protect data and methods
and maintain CFR compliance, and is available in multiple languages.
Samples are analyzed by first being weighed onto one or two CEM glass fiber samples pads, then heated according
to the optimized method parameters, using a combination of the one or both heating sources until the sample
stops volatilizing. Results are automatically calculated to provide the final result which is stored in the system for
future review. Results can be statistically analyzed by method, date, time, or user on the SMART 6 or transmitted
to a LIMS network for real-time data analysis.
