Alternative to chimney sections
If you are re-circulating
the extracted air through
charcoal filters, or if you have
flipped the motor to extract
horizontally through a wall,
then you do not need to fit
the chimney sections (though
you can still fit them as per
page 17 should you wish). If
you decide not to use the
chimney sections, fit the
outlet grid, as shown in Fig. 9.
IMPORTANT: If the motor outlet is still positioned vertically (pages
12 and 13), you must remove the non-return flaps from the motor
outlet before fitting the outlet grid.
These are pictured to the
right in Fig. 10. Keep the
flaps, and the spring that
holds them in position, safe
in case they are needed in
the future.
