be inserted 5/8” into the adapter. The outlet side is the side to which
the arrow points on the capacity flow device.
NOTE:
When pushing the tubing into the adapter, you will encounter
some resistance. This does not mean that the tube is fully inserted.
Continue to push firmly until the tubing is inserted as far as possible
(roughly 5/8” into the adapter).

Changing the Batteries and Resetting the Capacity Monitor
a.
Open the Filter Monitor Unit (FMU) and pull out the battery holder.
Remove and discard the used batteries.
b.
Turn on the CB-As faucet and let the water flow for 2 to 3 seconds,
then turn off the faucet.
c.
Insert two (2) AA batteries into the battery holder, making sure to
match the + and – signs. Reinsert the battery holder.
d.
Press and hold the check/reset button on the FMU for six (6)
seconds. You should hear a long audio sound, and the LED Display
Plate will flash red and then green several times.
Connect the Adapta Valve
If your residence has a cold water supply line with a 3/8” or 1/2” slip joint
connection, you may use the Adapta Valve included with your system
to connect your DWS to the plumbing. The Adapta Valve assembly
(MC920LFASBL) includes both the valve and threading adapter.
When attaching the Adapta Valve to straight pipe threads, use Teflon tape
on the threads. Wrap the tape around the pipe only once.
NOTE:
The Adapta Valve must be installed on the
cold water line only.

Using the 3/8” configuration:
a.
The 3/8” configuration is used on a water supply line with a 3/8” slip
joint.
b.
The 3/8” configuration is typically installed at the bottom of the riser
at the angle stop valve.
