Signals and warnings
• Electrical shock risk: also 230 V
can be lethal
• Biological danger, risk of infections from epidemic diseases
• High temperature
• General danger sign
• Compulsory direction of fl ow or rotation
Warning signs cannot always fully express danger warnings, therefore it is necessary
that the user reads the warnings and keeps them in due consideration.
Failure to observe a danger sign or warning may harm operators or machines.
Safety devices must not be removed. Appliances or their functioning must never be
modifi ed.
General warnings and biological risk
• Before any maintenance operation, wear disposable gloves, goggles, mask and
overalls.
The aspirated liquid is infected and contaminating for epidemic diseases.
Before commencing any servicing operation on appliances that have been used, carry out
a series of washes with Puli-Jet plus.
Disconnect the machine from the mains and padlock the main switch, if present.
The draining pump puts the aspirated liquid under pressure and conveys it to the waste.
In case of break-down of an under-pressure pipe or appliance, biological hazard can
be more serious.
Warnings
The installer will take care to instruct the surgery staff with trials on new and not
yet contaminated machines.
The installation of the Mini-Separator is reserved to technicians authorized by the
manufacturer.
Maintenance and periodical checks entrusted to authorized
technicians
Short circuit the probes C and H and check that:
• in single-surgery systems the aspiration unit stops;
• in centralized systems the electropneumatic valve closes;
• in both types of systems the draining pump starts.
Short circuit the probes C and ascertain that the draining pump starts.
Push the botton F, if present, to switch on the draining pump.
Remove the lid D and take out the draining pump, check its functioning and clean its
seat, then reposition the pump.
