The procedures stated in this section should be performed by two
persons.
Also, prepare the following tools.
A. Metal Bar
2 pieces
(Dia: 7mm to 20mm, Length:
20cm or longer)
B. L Wrench
2 pieces
(Dia: 5mm to 12mm)
REMOVAL
1. Detach the frame cover.
(See [D-1: Removing the Frame Covers].)
2. One worker should lower the right and left pedals to the lowest
level. While maintaining this status, the other worker should
set, as stoppers, the two metal bars and two L wrenches as
depicted. (Figs. 1 and 2)
3. Gradually move the right and left pedals, while paying caution
to the metal bar and the L wrench.
[CAUTION]
During this procedure, if the metal bar and the
L wrench tend to be broken, change these tools to more
rigid metal after lowering the pedals and removing
these tools.
4. Remove a snap, by using a plier, at the chain joints which con-
nect the linkstep set and the pedal chain. (Fig. 3)

Pull off the chain joints in the right and left directions to
remove the linkstep set and the pedal chain.
6.
Remove the four cap bolts which fix the linkstep set
and the frame, and then de-tach the linkstep set. (Fig.
4)

For pulling the linkstep out of the frame, take
the following procedures.
A. Put the linkstep set sideways.
B. Move the linkstep set so that the link positions perpendicular
to the pedal as depicted. (Fig. 5)
C. Pull the linkstep set out of the frame.
