5 - HANDLING
5.1 - Discharge via forklift truck
The unit is designed to be transported safely by using a forklift
truck. The base features guide rails to accommodate the forks
of the fork-lift truck. These guide rails ensure that the centre of
gravity of the unit remains within the forks, and at the same time,
avoid the possible introduction of the truck’s fork into functional
parts that may cause damage to the unit.
Note: the module with the heat recovery wheel (BW and RW
assemblies) also includes these guides in its base frame with the
same dimensions.
The recommended length for the forks will be bigger than the unit
width (refer to the following table), so that the entire weight-bearing
structure of the unit can be supported on the forklift truck.
The standards and recommendations of the forklift truck must also
be respected with regards to the maximum load, inclination of the
fork carriage, elevation of the load for transport, and, in particular,
the maximum speed.
Discharge of stacked units
The
fi
xation set factory-installed for the transport of two stacked
units ensures the safe
fi
xation of units and the stability of units
during transport.
The discharge of the units on-site will be done via fork-lift truck
with the forks accommodated in the guide rails of the lower unit.
The units must be unstacked after discharging. The simultaneous
handling of both units is not allowed.
The 6
fi
xation pieces are
fi
xed to the units using 4 M8 screws (hex.
key 13). First, unscrew all the screws attaching the pieces to the
5.2 - Discharge via crane
Important:
This discharge method is not allowed in the case of
two stacked units.
It is mandatory to follow the lifting instructions given in the drawings
provided on the next page.
Approved textile slings, suitable for the dimensions and weight
of the unit, must be used. A structure with centre of
gravity adjustment must also be used to separate the
slings from the top of the unit.
Important: slings must be attached to
all
the marked
rigging points (grips). These points are clearly
identi
fi
ed by labels.
The slings hooks should be
fi
xed on top of the grips.
All models are provided with 2 lifting grips on each beam, except
the 052 to 099 models with BA and BB assemblies that are
provided with three lifting grips per beam.
Raise and set down the unit carefully. Take care not to tilt it by
more than 15°, as this could adversely a
ff
ect its operation.
Safety when lifting can only be guaranteed if all these instructions
are followed. Otherwise, there is a risk of equipment damage or
injury to personnel.
