Caution! 

Observe the following safety instructions to avoid damages and risks attributable to

improper connection:

To avoid damage or danger by improper use, the instructions for use should be

If you give the appliance to another person then you should also supply them with

Connect the appliance only to AC current and to a socket with earthing contact. Do

not pull the cable over sharp edges, clamp it into place or allow it to hang down! 

Keep the cable away from hot and damp areas!

Never wind the mains cable around the appliance!

The connecting cable must not come into contact with hot appliance parts and should

never run between the straightening plates!

Only insert the mains plug when the appliance is switched off!

Safety instructions when operating the appliance
DANGER! Danger to life from electric shock!

There is danger to life if the live appliance comes in contact with water! Hence, please
observe the following safety instructions:

Never use the appliance with wet hands, in or near the bath, shower or over a filled

washbasin. If the appliance falls into water, remove the mains plug immediately. 

Under no circumstances reach into the water when the appliance is still connected to 
the power supply!
When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of 

 

·

water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off!

Warning! Danger of burns from hot appliance components!

Components of the appliance can become very hot during operation and lead to 
possible burns. Hence, please observe the following safety instructions:

Never grasp the appliance on or near the straightening plates when the appliance is

on since this can cause burns (approx. 15 min to cool). Avoid any contact between 
hot appliance parts and your skin and eyes. Never transport the appliance when it 

is hot!

Never use flammable substances, e.g. hairspray, styling mousse etc., on your hair 

 

·

before using this appliance as this may cause burning when the substance comes 
into contact with the straightening plates!

The appliance may only be used on dry, natural hair. Do not use on artificial hair!

The appliance must not come into contact with flammable materials. It must also

not be used near flammable materials because the straightening plates reach 
temperatures of approx. 230°C!
Never cover the straightening plates with any object!

The appliance must never be switched on when clamped together. Ensure that the

appliance is open!

After use, or if pausing for a significant length of time, disconnect the appliance from 

 

·

the mains and let the appliance cool down!
Do not place the appliance or the connecting cable on hot surfaces e.g. cooker or

similar or in the vicinity of open flames!
Never put the appliance on soft cushions or blankets during operation!

Safety instructions for cleaning and maintenance

Protect the appliance from moisture. Never put it into the dishwasher.
