The tips of properly adjusted 5-point seat belts should be located just above the child’s shoulders (B-1).
To adjust the 5-point seat belt height, begin with loosening the harness by pressing the button in the front of the seat
and pulling both shoulder belts (B-2). Now pull the height adjustment mechanism lever located at the back of the seat
and slide the mechanism up or down to adjust the height of the belts (B-3).
Release the lever to lock the belts’ position.
The headrest height is adjusted along with the 5-point belts’ height.
HEADREST HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT AFTER DISMANTLING THE 5-POINT BELTS
A properly adjusted headrest ensures for proper placement of the diagonal part of the 3-point belt, that goes through
the guide in the headrest. The headrest should be set at such height, that the gap between the child’s shoulders and
the lowest part of the headrest should match the thickness of an adult’s two fingers (C-1).
To set the headrest height after removing the 5-point harness, pull the lever located at the top back of the headrest
and slide the headrest up or down. After setting the correct height, release the lever to lock the headrest’s position
(point C-2).
INSTALLATION FOR GROUP I (9-18 kg) WITH TOP TETHER
Prepare the ISOFIX anchors and latches (see point 5).
Adjust the headrest and seat belt height (see point 6).
Take out the TopTether strap from the back of the seat. Set the seat forward-facing on a passenger seat equipped
with ISOFIX and TopTether anchors. Slide the ISOFIX latches into the previously prepared ISOFIX guides (D-1), until
both latches snap onto the anchors and the indicators on the latches turn from red to green (D-2).
Push the seat firmly against the backrest (D-3).
Try to move the seat from side to side, making sure it is properly installed. Once more check if the indicators on the
latches are green.
Adjust the TopTether strap length with the tensioner (D-4).
Attach the TopTether latch onto the TopTether fixing point in your car. The fixing point is usually located on the roof, on
the trunk floor or on the back of the backrest (D-5).
Tighten the TopTether strap by pulling its end. The strap must be tightened so, that the indicator on the tensioner
turns from red to green (D-6).
SECURING THE CHILD WITH 5-POINT SEAT BELTS
The more closely the harness fits the child, the better protection it ensures. Always try to make the gap between the
child’s body and the harness straps no wider than the width of two fingers of an adult. Before securing the child, take
all thick clothes off the child (winter jackets, polar shirts etc.).
Press the belt loosening button located in the front of the seat and pull both shoulder belts (do not pull the shoulder
pads) (E-1).
Unfasten the harness by pressing the red button in the middle of the buckle. Take the belt tongues out of the buckle
(E-2).
Place the child in the seat and put the shoulder belts on.
Connect both belt tongues and fasten them in the buckle, until a ‘click’ sound can be heard (E-3, E-4).
Pull the harness tightening strap in front of the seat, to tighten the harness (E-5).
Pull the shoulder belts to make sure the harness is properly secured.
Make sure the shoulder pads lay on the shoulders of the child (E-6).
INSTALLATION FOR GROUP I (9-18 kg) WITH 3-POINT CAR SEAT BELTS
Adjust the headrest and seat belt height (see point 6).
Set the seat forward-facing on the passenger seat and push the seat firmly against the backrest.
Unwind the 3-point car seat belt and slide it trough the belt guides at the back of the seat shell (F-1).
Make sure the lap part of the seat belts goes through the lower belt guides.
Engage the belt tongue in the belt buckle (F-2).
Open the red belt tensioner on the side of the car belt tensioner. Put the shoulder part of the car belt into the belt
guide, tighten the belts by pulling them in the direction of the car belt tensioner and close the red flap (F-3).
Make sure the belts are aligned properly, are tightened enough and are not twisted.
