Dear customer,
thank you for choosing one of our quality products. In the following, we will explain the
installation and operation of our bee hotel. Please take the time to read through the
instructions carefully.
1. Product description
Set or hang your bee hotel outside in a sheltered, sunny location in your garden or on
the terrace. The ideal spot has trees or bushes nearby. One by one, different types of
bees will settle down in your hotel. They lay their eggs into the wooden tubes and seal
them afterwards. In the next spring, young bees will tear open the seals and begin a
new bee life. Starting from April, bees are active and pollinate flowers, seeds and fruit
like strawberries.
2. Operation
1. Hang the bee hotel in a sunny spot, sheltered from wind and rain.
2. The hotel should be set with the front facing south.
3. Do not put away the hotel during wintertime, as bees hibernate and breed in it.
4. Do not paint the hotel. Bees may avoid it once it is covered in paint or laquer.
Important warning when drilling in walls:
Before drilling, make sure that there are no
gas, water or power lines located at the drilling spot. Installation may only be done by
competent persons. Please pay attention to the condition and material of the wall as
the included mounting material is not suitable for all wall types. Please ask an expert
for advice concerning suitable screws and dowels. For improper mounting and resulting
damages the manufacturer assumes no liability.
