STEP 2: FITTING THE JUMP MAT
BASIC INFORMATION
:
a) Getting the springs the right way round.
You attach the more tightly curled end of the
springs to the D-rings on the jump mat.
b) Attaching the springs
You will need to use the Spring Tool (Part K) to
attach the Springs (Part J) to the frame.
Hook the spring tool onto the end of a spring,
and pull until the spring can be slotted into the
correct slot in the frame.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure each spring is fully inserted into the
slots in the frame. You should wear gloves
and protective eye wear to attach springs to
the mat.
FITTING THE MAT:
Lay the Jump Mat (Part M) inside the frame of the trampoline with the centre logo facing upwards.
Next attach the four corner springs. Then attach springs in the 12, 6, 3 and 9 o’clock positions
directly opposite each other.
Finish by attaching the remainder of the springs. Do this by attaching a few springs on one side then
going to the other side of the trampoline to attach a few more. This evens out the tension on the mat
and springs.
Important:
Durin
g assembly it may look like the mat won’t fit. It will however stretch to the correct
size when attaching the springs and this may take a little force.
The frame itself may get pulled inwards
– this is normal. The corner springs in particular may look &
remain stretched. Do not worry, these are high quality springs & you cannot overstretch a spring.
