HOW TO USE ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
NOTE:
• The button designs are based on a typical model and may be slightly different to the actual model you purchased. The design of the buttons on your
device takes precedence.
• All the functions described are executed by the unit. If the unit does not have a feature installed, nothing will happen when you press the relevant button
on the remote control.
• If there are discrepancies between "Remote control illustration" and the User Manual, the User Manual description will take precedence.
• The device should comply with local and national regulations. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause
harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
• This equipment has been tested and found to be compliant with relevant EMC limits. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and may radiate radio frequency energy and may cause
harmful interference to radio communications unless it is installed and used in accordance with the instructions. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception – which can
be determined by turning the equipment off and back on – the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by means of one or more of the
following measures:
– Realign or relocate the receiving antenna.
– Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver.
– Connect the equipment to a socket on a circuit that is different to the one to which the receiver is connected.
– Consult your dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Changes or modifications not approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
SHORTCUT function
• Used to restore the current settings or resume
the previous settings.
• Press this button when the remote control
is enabled – the system will automatically
revert to the previous settings including
the operating mode, set temperature, fan
speed level and sleep feature (if activated).
• If you hold down this button for more than
2 seconds, the system will automatically
restore the current settings including the
operating mode, set temperature, fan
speed level and sleep feature (if activated).
FOLLOW ME function
The FOLLOW ME function allows the remote control to
measure the temperature at its current location. When
using the AUTO or COOL function, measuring the
ambient temperature from the remote control (instead of
from the indoor unit itself) will allow the air conditioner
to optimise the temperature around you and ensure
maximum comfort.
1. Press the
FOLLOW ME
button to enable this function.
The remote control will send a temperature signal to the
unit every three minutes.
2. Press the
FOLLOW ME
button again to disable this
function.
SLEEP function
The SLEEP function is used to decrease power
consumption while you sleep (and you do not need
the same temperature settings to stay comfortable).
NOTE:
The SLEEP function is not available in FAN or
DRY mode.
SWING function
Used to stop or start louvre movement and set the
preferred up/down air flow direction. The louvre
angle is altered by 6 degrees with each press (some
models do not have this option). The louvre auto
swing feature is activated if you hold down this
button for more than 2 seconds.
