SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The following instructions must be followed in order to prevent injury or damage. Incorrect
operation due to failure to follow the instructions may cause injury or damage.
This symbol indicates that ignoring the instructions may result in death or serious injury.
WARNING!
• The air conditioner must be installed as described in the installation instructions. Incorrect
installation may result in water leaks, electric shock or fire.
• When installing your air conditioner, use only the accessories and parts provided and
specified tools for installation. Using non-standard parts may result in water leaks, electric
shock, fire, and injury or damage.
• Make sure the socket you are using is earthed and has the appropriate voltage. The power
cable comes with with a three-pin earthed plug to prevent shocks. Voltage information can
be found on the unit's rating plate.
• Your unit must be connected to a properly earthed wall socket. If the wall socket you intend to
use is not adequately earthed or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker (the fuse
or circuit breaker needed is determined by the maximum current of the unit. The maximum
current is indicated on the rating plate on the unit), have a qualified electrician install the
proper socket.
• Install the unit on a flat, sturdy surface. Failure to do so could result in damage or excessive
noise and vibration.
• The unit must be kept free from obstruction so as to ensure proper function and mitigate safety
hazards.
• DO NOT modify the length of the power cable or use an extension cable to power the unit.
• DO NOT share a single socket with other electrical appliances. Improper power supply may
result in fire or electric shock.
• DO NOT install your air conditioner in a wet area such as a bathroom or laundry room. Too
much exposure to water may cause electrical components to short-circuit.
• DO NOT install the unit in a location that may be exposed to combustible gas, as this could
cause fire.
• The unit has wheels to make it easier to move. Do not roll over objects or use the wheels on
thick carpet, as this could cause the unit to tip.
• DO NOT operate any unit that has been dropped or damaged.
• The appliance with an electric heater must be positioned at least 1 metre away from
combustible materials.
