Batteries
Please ensure that the batteries that are included in this set are
inserted in the right direction. They must be charged before use.
Connection Field
The line-in socket for connecting most portable multimedia devices
(MP3 player, Walkman, Game Boy, Sony PSP, ... ) are situated on the
back of the DSS 103 on the left-hand side. Please use the cable
provided for this purpose. Please use the „On“ switch to turn the
DSS 103 on. The rechargeable batteries that come with the device
can be recharged using the enclosed mains adapter in the „Charge“
position. To do so, the adapter must be plugged in to the socket in the
middle.
Important: The switch setting „Charge“ should only be selected when
using rechargeable batteries, otherwise damage to the DSS 103 can
occur.
Volume Control
The volume of the DSS 103 can be regulated using the buttons on
the top. To prevent that the DSS 103 automatically switches off the
volume of the source should be set to the highes level and should only
be regulated at the DSS 103.
Operating Display
The operating display colors indicate the following conditions:
1) Blue light - the DSS 103 is in operation
2) Flashing blue light – no input signal available
3) Red light – batteries are charging
While operating conditions 1 + 3 can occur at the same time.
