Print environments where the KOM Program and the eKOM Program
would benefit the customer and service organization are:
•
High volume printing using carbonless media or preprinted media. In
these environments, the digital press requires frequent cleaning
(KOM/eKOM), replacement of the OPC Belt (eKOM) and replacement
of the TTF Belts (eKOM).
•
Printing Ballots. In this environment, a tighter registration control is
required (eKOM).
•
Printing a mix of Light Weight Media and Standard Weight Media. In
this environment, it is highly recommended to use the standard TTF
Belts to print standard media and the Light Weight Media TTF Belts to
print light weight media. The end-user operator can replace the Light
Weight Media TTF Belts with the Standard TTF Belts (eKOM).
2. Training
The servicing dealer is responsible for training the key operator prior to
starting the KOM program and the eKOM program.
The Maintenance Guides includes the part replacement, cleaning and
registration adjustment procedures that the key operator follows to
maintain the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series devices. Additionally, the
Maintenance Guides can be used as
training documents.
•
The KOM program requires the “varioPRINT 6000 line Maintenance
Guide”.
•
The eKOM program requires the “varioPRINT 6000 line Maintenance
Guide” and the “varioPRINT 6000 line extended Key Operator
Maintenance Guide”.
The Maintenance Guides are available for download from the
