2. SCANNING SECTION
The scanning section scans documents that are to be sent or copied.

Names and function of parts
1. Document Guide (MP730 only)
When properly adjusted to the width of the documents, the guide will hold documents in
the horizontal direction to prevent them from skewing when fed.
2. Document feed motor (MP730 only)
This motor drives all the rollers in the scanning sections.
3. Document Sensor (MP730 only)
This sensor uses an actuator to detect the presence of documents to be scanned, and sends
that information to the SPCNT board by the way of the ADF board.
