Adjustment of Reader shading position
Detail
To adjust the position of the Scanner Unit on the Reader side in feed direction when reading the
White Plate on the left edge of the Copyboard Glass.
When replacing the Scanner Unit, execute RDSHDPOS and write the value of this item in the
service label.
When clearing the Reader-related RAM data, enter the value of service label.
As the value is incremented by 1, the reading position moves to the trailing edge side by 0.1 mm.
Use Case
- When black lines/white lines appear
- When replacing the Scanner Unit
- When clearing the Reader-related RAM data
Adj/Set/Operate Method
Enter the setting value (switch negative/positive by +/- key), and then press Apply key.
Caution
After the setting value is changed, write the changed value in the service label.

Detail
To enter the white level data (X) for the Standard White Plate.
When replacing the DADF/Reader Unit, Reader Upper Cover Unit or Main Controller PCB, enter
"XXXX" of the value (XXXXYYYYZZZZ) shown on the barcode label affixed at the upper left of the
Copyboard Glass.

- When replacing the Reader Upper Cover Unit
- When replacing the Main Controller PCB
