Estimated costs are calculated using the sample device usage information

and represent the estimated costs to service and maintain a typical
configuration of the imageRUNNER ADVANCE device. A typical configuration
includes:

IMPORTANT
Estimated costs for service parts, drum, labor, and toner vary, depending on
the device use. Use the Service Revenue/Profit Calculator to determine the
estimated costs for your customer’s device use.
1. Parts and Drum Cost
The costs of parts and drum units are based on the estimated yield and
use of periodically replaced parts, consumable parts, and the drum.
2. Estimated Labor Cost
The labor cost is a calculation using the burdened labor rate to travel to
and work on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6500 device.
The burdened labor rate is a calculation of the service technician’s salary,
the estimated business overhead expenses, and the direct service
expenses required to maintain the business (for example, call center, rent,
fuel, tolls, automobile, and training).
To align more closely with the labor costs in various business
environments, Canon USA calculates the Estimated Labor cost to service
the device using a burdened hourly labor rate

of $45 per hour and $60
per hour. The Service Revenue/Profit Calculator is available to set the
Burdened Labor Rate according to your business expenses.
The Estimated Labor cost includes a yearly salary increase of 3% in the
technician’s salary.
3. Toner Cost
The device usage determines the cost of toner for an imageRUNNER
device. Toner cost calculations are based on the toner coverage for each
page, the yield of the toner bottle, and the dealer cost of the toner bottle.
