In exceptional situations when a very high print quality is required, add shading correction to the
calibration. (See

Eye-One spectrophotometer.

Procedure

Perform printer calibration in the professional mode. (See

)

Connect the Eye-One spectrophotometer to the USB port in the control panel.

Perform shading correction:

Touch [System] -> [Color adjustment] -> [Printer calibration details] -> [Shading correction].

Follow the instructions on the control panel.

Perform media family calibration. (See

Calibrate the media family on page 163

)

After you finish

When the shading correction produces a "density not within required range" error, perform a
correction procedure for this error. (See
