The fax has a built-in feature that allows you to send documents and make telephone calls with an
alternative long-distance service, such as the UK Call, Global Call, and Day Call Services of Cable
and Wireless Communications Limited available to users in the UK. If you subscribe to such a
service, you can save money on most long-distance and international communications.
The procedures described below show you how to use your fax with the services of Cable and
Wireless Communications Limited. For details on using your fax with other alternative telephone
services, contact your local authorised Canon dealer or the Canon help line.

Attaching the M label__________________________

If you are using an alternative long-distance service, attach the M label provided with your fax
below the button shown here. This will help you identify the button you must press when using one
of these services.

Registering an alternative telephone network _

Follow the procedure below to register the access and ID codes under the M button for an
alternative network.
