Whenever you set the power switch to <

>, the Self
Cleaning Sensor Unit automatically shakes off the dust on the front of
the sensor. Normally, you need not pay attention to this operation.
However, you can manually perform sensor cleaning or can disable this
unit as follows.

Select [Sensor cleaning].
Under the [

4 ] tab, select [ Sensor
cleaning ], then press <
0
>.

Select [Clean now

].
Select [ Clean now
f
], then press
<
0
>.
Select [ OK ].
X The screen will indicate that the sensor is being cleaned. (A small
sound may be heard.) Although there will be a mechanical sound of
the shutter during sensor cleaning, the picture will not be recorded to
the card.
X After sensor cleaning is finished, the camera will automatically
restart (turn off and on).
