Conventions Used in These Instructions

The information in these instructions is valid for the Windows 98 Second Edition (referred
to hereafter as Windows 98 SE), Windows Me, Windows 2000, and Windows XP Home
Edition/Professional (referred to hereafter as Windows XP) operating systems.

When explanations are common to all the operating systems, the screens shown are from
Windows 98 SE.
●
Descriptions of camera operations assume that the reader is familiar with the information
in the instructions supplied with the camera. For detailed information on how to use the
software products and the restrictions that apply to those products, refer also to the Help
and Readme files for the respective products.
●
In order to transfer images from File Viewer Utility, you will need the retouching software.
In order to start the TWAIN Driver, you will need the TWAIN Driver-compatible application.
Explanations for transferring images from File Viewer Utility described in these
instructions and the explanations for the TWAIN Driver-compatible application all use
examples from Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE.

QuickTime
To save composite images made using PhotoStitch in the QuickTime VR format, you will need
QuickTime 3.0 or later. If you have not already installed QuickTime 3.0 or later on your
computer, install it using the procedure below.
1 Load the EOS DIGITAL SOLUTION DISK into the CD-ROM drive.

The Installer panel appears automatically.
2 Click [QuickTime 5.0 Installation].
3 Proceed with the installation as directed by the on-screen messages.
