Downloading Images
You can download images using a wizard, Explorer or the WIA TWAIN.
Downloading with the Scanner and Camera Wizard
Follow the Wizard’s on-screen messages to download images to the computer. Note that you
cannot download RAW images using the [Scanner and Camera Wizard]. To download RAW
images, use Windows Explorer. (See “Downloading with Windows Explorer” (

7-3).)

Connect the camera to your computer. (

If you are using Windows Me, the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box appears.

If you are using Windows XP, the [EOS-1DS] dialog box appears. Select [Microsoft
Scanner and Camera Wizard], and then click the [OK] button. The [Scanner and
Camera Wizard] dialog box appears.

Click the [Next] button.

Select the image(s) you wish to download and click the [Next]
button.

To select multiple images, press
and hold the <Ctrl> or <Shift> key
on the keyboard while clicking on
images. To select all the images,
click the [Select All] button.

Specify a file name and save location and click the [Finish] button.

The selected images will be downloaded to the specified folder. If you do not specify
a folder, they are saved by default to the [My Pictures] folder within the computer’s
[My Documents] folder.
