Simultaneous Capture in RAW and JPEG Formats
In the < > image-recording quality mode, a JPEG image is recorded simultaneously and
embedded within the RAW image file. With C.Fn-08 [RAW+JPEG rec.], you can set the image-
recording quality of this JPEG image. To extract the JPEG image embedded in the RAW
image file, you will need the dedicated software.
On the menu, select [Custom Functions
(C.Fn)].

Press the < > button.
•
Turn the < > dial to select [ Custom Functions
(C.Fn) ], then press < >.

The Custom Function screen will appear.

Select C.Fn-08 [RAW+JPEG rec.].
•
Turn the < > dial to select [ RAW+JPEG rec. ],
then press < >.

Select the image-recording quality for
the JPEG image.
•
Turn the < > dial to select the desired image-
recording quality, then press < >.
•
Press the < > button to return to the menu.
•
Press the < > button again to turn off the LCD
monitor.
•
When the [ Quality ] is set to < >, a JPEG image
will be recorded simultaneously with the set quality
and embedded within the RAW image file.

To extract the JPEG image embedded in the RAW image file, use the dedicated
