Installation > Before Installing: Preparation on the Reader Unit Side

5) Open the ADF or the Copyboard Cover, and remove the tapes affixed to the copyboard

and the packaging materials.

CAUTION:
• Because the center of gravity in the Reader Unit will be placed at rear, be sure to

open the ADF or the Copyboard Cover slowly.

• Be careful not to drop the ADF.

6)  Remove the Reader Front Cover.
•  2 Screws
•  2 Protrusions
•  1 Hook

7) Connect the Reader Power Supply Cable.
• 1 Reuse Band

NOTE:

When the Reuse Band of the Reader Power Supply Cable does not reach the position

of the hole, lightly pull out the root of the cable to install the Reuse Band.

CAUTION:
Be sure to route the Reader Power Supply Cable in front of the cover of this equipment.
