Description
No destination is registered for the one-touch
speed dialing key or coded speed dialing you
pressed.
Action
Register the destinations before using the
Address Book function.

Description
Toner has run out.
Action
Install a new cartridge.
PAPER JAM
OPEN TONER COVER
Description
Paper jams have occurred in the machine.
Action
Clear the paper jam (See “Paper Jams,” on p. 8-5.)
and reload paper in the paper feeder.
PRINTER DATA ERROR
CHECK PRINTER
Description
The data from the PC was not printed.
Action
Check if the software is installed properly or if the
printer cable is properly connected.
Action
Check if the memory is full.
REGISTERING KEY
CANNOT REGISTER
Description
The selected one-touch speed dialing key is
already used as the group dialing key it is being
assigned to.
Action
Select a different one-touch speed dialing key.
SET DOCUMENT
Description
No document was set on the machine when
[Start] was pressed. (in the copy/fax mode)
Action
Set a document.
SYSTEM ERROR
EXXX
Description
A system error has occurred. <XXX> will be a
three-digit code that indicates a particular type
of error.
Action
Unplug the machine. Wait for at least 5 seconds
and reconnect the power cord. If the message
persists, disconnect the power cord, and contact
your local authorized Canon dealer or the Canon
help line.
