FRONT SUSPENSION INSPECTION
1.
Make sure the fork leg protectors are clean (not
packed with mud or dirt) fastened securely and
undamaged.
2.
Make sure the fork seals are in good condition
and clean. Replace leaking fork seals before
you ride the vehicle. Replacement involves fork
disassembly and should not be attempted by
anyone other than a trained suspension
professional; contact your Cannondale
motorsports dealer for information on servicing
the suspension components on your vehicle.
3.
Inspect the wear rings. Replace the ring if it is
damaged or flat with the outer tube surface.
Position the gap in the wear ring rearward. If
the wear rings are worn beyond specification,
incorrectly positioned, or damaged, the outer
tube of the fork will be worn.
4.
Check for the entire fork for signs of oil leakage
especially the area around and below the fork
seals for fork fluid. If there is any indication of
damage or leaks consult an authorized
Cannondale motorsports dealer.
5.
Make sure the upper and lower triple clamp
pinch bolts are tightened to the specified
torque.
