8. Remount the water filter. Close the hot water outlet drain valve.
9. Open the water shut-off valve and close again after making sure that water comes out from hot water
faucets. (This step is to remove air from the water lines.)
10. Reconnect the breaker and turn the on/off switch to the ON position, fully open the gas shut-off valve and
the water shut-off valve.
NOTICE:
The water heater may not operate unless the above procedure is followed correctly.

This water heater incorporates a variety of shut off devices that prevents the operation of the water heater
down if undesirable combustion conditions occur. Such as the presence of a blockage of the combustion air
vent insufficient gas or pressure which can impact the safe operation of the water heater. Please contact a
Qualified Service Technician if this occurs.
