5.1
Starting the tool
Before starting operations with the tool, wear protective clothing as indicated in the picture (fig. C) and check that all the
safety and protection systems are working and mounted properly.
CAUTION!
•
Only activate the tool when it is inserted between the branches. Improper use causes increased tool wear and
excessive battery consumption.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. “Product description”. Any other use may cause injuries.
•
Information on the use and operation of the tool can be found in the Use and Maintenance Manual of the
chosen power unit.
•
After the first 8 hours of work, check the tightness of the cover screws.
5.2
Stopping the tool
At the end of the work session, switch off the tool, following the information on the use and operation of the tool in the
Use and Maintenance Manual for the Power Unit used.
5.3
Troubleshooting
CAUTION!
All extraordinary maintenance shall be carried out by a mechanical maintenance technician.
FAULT

Excessive overheating of the
head (2).
Presence of dirt and/or wear on in-
ternal rotating parts.
Clean and service the head (2).
Abnormal vibration of the

The tool does not work.

Temporary stop of the tool

Motor overheating due to thick veg-
etation.

Max. current threshold exceeded.
Get away from the trees, wait a few seconds and
restart the tool by pressing the ON-OFF switch
(see the Use and maintenance Manual of the
chosen
power unit )

Failure to comply with the instructions in the manual may cause damage or injury.
6.1
Routine maintenance
CAUTION!
•
Before carrying out any routine maintenance work, be sure to secure the head (2). If it is mounted on the tool,
switch off the tool (see the Use and maintenance Manual of the chosen power unit), disconnect the power
cable, and then remove the head from the pole.
•
All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at the Manufacturer’s Authorised
Service Centres.
The routine maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1
In general
Before any routine maintenance:
•
Switch off the ON-OFF switch (pos. OFF) of the Power Unit.
•
Wear heavy-duty protective gloves.
•
Remove the head from the pole.
