A well-sharpened blade increases performance and decreases risks of kickback.

Damaged and deformed blades must not be used. To replace the blade, proceed as described on 

 

page 26.

If the pads around the slot of the blade show signs of wear and tear, they must be replaced with 
new ones of the right size.
