Mobile gas heaters are a safe economical source of winter warmth if looked after and properly serviced
(we recommend that your heater is serviced by a qualified gas technician once a year).
Always check that the heater is burning cleanly. The flames should be primarily blue with a yellow tip and should rise just
above the coals when on high setting. See image 1
A build up of dust, debris or any other foreign matter in or around the burner or air inlets will affect safe use of the
appliance and cause sooting which could damage your home.
The first and most recognisable sign of this is a large yellow flame rising higher above the coals than normal.

If you notice this stop using the appliance immediately and arrange for your heater to be looked at by a qualified gas
technician.
