You must leak test the unit at the beginning of every heating season and in the event that you smell gas, or after

a prolonged period on non-use.

To perform a leak test.

Mix 50% water 50% soap solution.

Attach the regulator to the gas cylinder. (Note: the regulator must be in the off position when its

connected to the cylinder)

Apply the soap solution to all areas of the regulator to gas cylinder connection, regulator to hose

connection, hose to appliance connection, base of valve.

If bubbles appear there is a leak

Turn the regulator to the on position, repeat step 3, if bubbles appear there is a leak.
