MACHINE DISPOSAL END-OF-LIFE
Pursuant to art. 13 of Italian Legislative De-
cree 151/2005 “Implementation of Directives
2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2003/108/
EC on the reduction of the use of hazardous sub-
stances in electrical and electronic equipment and
the disposal of waste”. The crossed-out bin sym-
bol on the equipment or on its packaging indi-
cates that the product, at the end of its useful life,
must be collected separately from other waste.
The user must therefore transfer the equipment
at the end of its life to the appropriate electronic
and electrotechnical waste collection centres, or
return it to the retailer when purchasing a new
piece of equipment of an equivalent type, on a
one-to-one basis. Adequate separate collection
for subsequent commissioning of the equipment
disposed of for recycling, treatment and envi-
ronmentally compatible disposal helps to avoid
possible negative effects on the environment and
on health and promotes the reuse and/or recy-
