LOOP TEST
Executing the LOOP TEST will initiate continuous scanning of the connected harness. When an
error is encountered, the test is halted and the error is displayed. Pressing MENU RUN will
restart the test. A complete Loop Test procedure is provided below. To select and use LOOP
TEST, proceed as follows:
1. Load program to be used in this test (refer to Loading a Program procedure).
2. Install harness to be tested.
3. Press Up or Down arrow to step through the menu until LOOP TEST is displayed.
4. Press MENU RUN to initiate the LOOP TEST mode. During LOOP TEST, the
harness may be flexed to aid in finding intermittents. Each time a successful scan
is completed, a loop count on the display is incremented by one as shown below:

5. An O for open or S for short, with the From/To points will be displayed when an
error is encountered. A short between test points 3 and 10 will be displayed as
follows:

S J1-3 P1-1
6. To restart the test, press MENU RUN, and the loop counter will reset to zero; or to
continue through the current cycle to locate additional errors, press TEST.
