How to judge when the vehicle
need maintenance?
Pay attention to changes in vehicle
performance and sound, as well as visual
signs for necessary repair. Some important
conditions are shown as below:

Abnormal motor starting noise

Coolant temperature stays high, still or
leaked

The motor is stuck or has abnormal
noises

The motor shakes violently during
operation

The motor cannot be started

The power assembly has leaked

There is an abnormal smell from the
power assembly

Driving force is reduced obviously

The vehicle is leaking from underneath
(yet air conditioning water drops are
normal)

Exhaust sound changes (it may
indicate carbon monoxide leak) You
must drive with windows opened and
check the exhaust system immediately.

Flat tire; excessive noise made by tires
while turning a corner; uneven tire wear

The vehicle leans to one side while
driving in a straight line on the flat
ground.

Abnormal noises related to movement
of suspension

Braking is disabled; brake pedal or
clutch pedal feels like sponge; brake
pedal almost touches the floor; when
braking, the vehicle pulls to one side.

Temperature of motor coolant still
continues to be too high

The battery capacity decreases
obviously

Battery temperature still continues to
be very high, over-heated protection,
no power output
If any conditions are as above, drive your
vehicle to BYD authorized service station as
soon as possible, as your vehicle may need
adjustment or repair.
Tips
Do not keep on driving without any
inspection, or it may cause serious car
damage and human injury.
