5.4 Mounting

Find the correct installation site. Position the mounting plate
and fix it to the specified positions with dowels and screws.

Connect the battery with the battery clamps to supply the
device with power.

Inserting the battery
Position the bottom section of the device on the mounting
plate so that the two markings directly face each other.
Only for 6832-84
The battery is automatically connected by turning the device
on the base.

Caution
Test function!
The test function of the Busch-Smoke alarm can only
be carried out after it has been mounted to
the ceiling.

Batteries incorrectly inserted can interfere with the test function.
The smoke detectors must be tested immediately after
installation. Press the test button on every detector for 3
seconds to ensure that the detector functions.
