Basic Maintenance Procedures 

 

 
The primary chain jack-shaft housing is a sealed unit with a drive chain running in an 
oil bath. This unit requires periodic oil change. 
There is a self adjusting spring loaded chain adjuster for maintenance free chain life. 
To service the primary drive jack-shaft 
You must remove the drain plug on the bottom of the inner housing. Allow the old oil to 
be drained out. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten. Be careful not to over tighten or 
cross the threads. This could cause damage resulting in a leak.   

Remove the side cover plug and pour in 1 oz (30ml) of 10w30 engine oil. 

Reinstall side cover plug being careful not to over tighten. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

 
Your Burromax TT40 Gas Minibike utilizes   
a twist throttle for ease of use and safe 
operation. The twist throttle is a 
low-maintenance unit; however, it is 
important to be sure that it is working 
properly before riding. The twist throttle 
should return to idle position after 
accelerating when you let go of it.   
 
Before you start your minibike, it is always important to check and make sure that the 
throttle works freely returns to idle position. If it sticks when released it could lead to a 
very dangerous situation where you or those around you could be injured or killed.
