Basic settings
COPY - SYSTEM SERVICES LOCAL INTERFACE
In the system services menu, functions are listed which may not be absolutely necessary.
You can deactivate these if you do not use the functions (e.g. ONVIF).
It is recommended to use the BURG-GUARD / BURG-WÄCHTER own protocol for the
device connection. If you only use this protocol, you can deactivate ONVIF.
If audio/video encryption is activated, only BURG-GUARD / BURG-WÄCHTER devices with
the same key can be connected to each other.
Recommendation: Activate the encryption function if you only use BURG-GUARD / BURG-
WÄCHTER devices.
802.1x
The Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP) is intended to provide more
security for authentication in
LANs.
Its use is recommended in the IEEE 802.1X standard,
which generally regulates authentication in computer networks.
